To Close Contacts of Persons Infected

You have recently had contact with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, and after investigation by the local public health center, you have been identified as a close contact of the infected person.

If you have been infected, there is a possibility that the virus may be passed onto other people around you when you start displaying symptoms.

Please read the following carefully and assist us to prevent the spread of infections.

You may develop symptoms by     (month)    (day), so please isolate at home.

While isolating at home, please undertake measures to prevent transmission to others.

  • Refrain from leaving home, including commuting to work or school, until    (month)   (day).
  • Wear a mask even at home and wash your hands frequently.
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces regularly.
    See the attachment for how to disinfect surfaces.
  • As far as possible, stay in a separate bedroom or living area from the other occupants of the house.
  • When throwing away tissues or masks, place them in a plastic bag and tie the bag shut before throwing it away.

Take your temperature twice a day and monitor your physical condition carefully.

PCR and other testing

  • Even if you do not have symptoms, please get tested if you are recommended to do so to confirm whether or not you have been infected.
  • If positive: A convalescence location will be coordinated depending on your age and any underlying illnesses.
  • If negative: You may develop symptoms by    (month)   (day), so please isolate at home and continue to monitor your health.

If you have any symptoms, such as a fever or cough, that may suggest you have developed COVID-19…

  • If you have a regular clinic, contact them first and seek advice about a consultation.
